Khinkali is the Prince of Georgian cuisine, if not the King of all Georgian food. I really doubt anyone will argue on that.
This is the first thing any foreigner is suggested to try on the very first day of arrival to Georgia. And, if you are not vegetarian, you will absolutely love it!
Some people say Georgian Khinkali looks like Asian dumplings, but the taste is pure Caucasian.
Georgians love simple food and simplicity is what makes it unique. We hardly had much time to be creative but rather to hurry up for the next battle and grab something long lasting and full of calories on the way towards the enemies. Though we never sacrificed taste to the speedy cooking and Khinkali is the right example of this.
Dough is simply made of Water + Flour + Salt
Stuffing: Grinded beef+pork (50/50) + some water + salt + pepper + corriander + cumin + garlic.
